XXDP 2.5 on an RL02
DEC's diagnostic monitor on an emulated RL11 with four RL02 drives. The quickest way to prove a freshly built card actually works in a machine.

Why it exists
XXDP is the monitor DEC's field diagnostics run under, so this configuration is both the smallest useful machine and the one that tells you whether the rest of the backplane is healthy. It is the resident sample on the card image for that reason.
Using it
- Switch the machine on, then boot DL0 from the bootstrap prompt.
- At the XXDP monitor prompt, .DIR lists the diagnostics on the pack.
- Run one with .R ZRLGE0 — the RL subsystem test is a good first choice.
- No login; XXDP is a single-user monitor.
Known problems
- Tests that need a programmable clock report a P-CLOCK skip unless a KW11-P is enabled alongside.

Getting it onto a board
The board imports this itself once it subscribes to the catalogue — it fetches, verifies the checksum and imports, which is the route to prefer for a bundle this size.
